Motorcyclist killed in collision with vehicle in Santa Fe

SANTA FE, NM – Police are investigating a collision that killed a motorcyclist in Santa Fe early Sunday morning.

According to a social media post from the Santa Fe Police Department, the accident happened near the intersection of Agua Fria Street and Arroyo de Las Cruces Road at about 1:47 a.m.

Police officers from Patrol Team C responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was found dead. He was identified as 31-year-old Bradley Trujillo of Santa Fe. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and stayed at the scene.

Investigators from the police department’s Traffic Unit and the Crime Scene Unit were summoned to conduct an investigation and process the scene for evidence.

Crash causes delays on I-25 south at Comanche Road

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Emergency crews were dispatched to a crash on Interstate 25 in Albuquerque on Tuesday afternoon.

An advisory from NMRoads at 12:59 p.m. stated that the accident occurred on Interstate 25 southbound at mile marker 227 in the area of Comanche Road.

The right lane of I-25 south was closed while the scene was being cleared. Motorists were advised to expect delays through the area.

Accident on US 70 in Chaves County injures motorcycle rider

CHAVES COUNTY, NM – Authorities responded to an accident that injured a motorcyclist in Chaves County on Sunday, according to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office.

An alert issued at 5:45 p.m. stated that the incident took place on U.S. 70 NE (Clovis Highway). The motorcycle rider was taken to a local medical facility. No information was released on the rider’s condition. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Sheriff’s deputies closed a single lane of the roadway while New Mexico State Police conducted their investigation.
