Motorcyclist killed, driver arrested after hit-and-run on NM-556

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person was killed and another was arrested after a possible hit-and-run in Sandia Heights Saturday evening.

According to KRQE, the accident took place at about 5 p.m. along NM-556 near the intersection with Tramway Trailhead.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are not mentioned in the report. Police. Deputies confirmed at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness led police to another driver involved in the crash. That individual was taken into custody. It is unclear at this time what charges they are facing.
