
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was injured early Monday due to a motorcycle wreck on Paseo Del Norte Boulevard in northeast Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes (New Mexico State Road 423) between Jefferson Street Northeast and 2nd Street Street Northeast. BCSO deputies responded to the scene shortly before 1:26 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but the rider was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
A section of westbound Paseo Del Norte Boulevard between Jefferson Street and 2nd Street was shut down during the response and investigation. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes around the scene.

By 5:21 a.m., nearly four hours after the initial report, the scene was announced cleared with all lanes reopened to the public.
