Motorcycle rider killed in collision in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQURQUE, NM – A collision in northeast Albuquerque claimed the life of a motorcycle rider on Tuesday morning, KOAT reported.

Albuquerque police said the motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in a crash shortly before noon in the vicinity of Montgomery Boulevard and Wyoming Boulevard. The man on the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area while police were conducting their investigation.

2 accidents lead to road closures in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate crashes on Thursday morning.

In a traffic alert posted at 10:53 a.m., the BCSO said the accidents occurred in the office’s south area command. As a result of the incidents, Blake Road was closed in both directions at Viola Drive, and the off-ramp from Interstate 25 n orthbound to Rio Bravo Boulevard was also closed.

The sheriff’s office issued an update about an hour later stating that all lanes had reopened. There were no reports of injuries.

Lanes shut down on I-10 eastbound near Las Cruces due to crash

LAS CRUCES, NM – Traffic was disrupted along a stretch of Interstate 10 on Thursday morning due to a crash, according to an advisory on NM Roads.

The notification at 7:37 a.m. stated that the accident happened on I-10 eastbound at mile marker 147, two miles east of Las Cruces.

The right and middle lanes of the interstate were closed through the area while crews worked the scene.
