Motorcycle rider dies following crash with vehicle in southwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision in southwest Albuquerque late Thursday night, according to a KOAT report.

Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Coors Boulevard and Blake Road after the incident took place shortly before 11 p.m.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash with another vehicle.

All lanes of traffic in all directions were closed for about three and a half hours during the accident investigation. No details were immediately released on the circumstances that led to the crash.

Accident shuts down U.S. 285 in both directions near Ramon

LINCOLN COUNTY, NM – The New Mexico Department of Transportation alerted drivers to an accident slowing traffic in Lincoln County on Saturday night.

According to a notification posted on NMRoads at 10:10 p.m., the crash blocked U.S. 285 northbound and southbound at mile marker 179, four miles north of Ramon.

Motorists were advised to use caution, reduce speed, and watch for all emergency personnel and equipment in the area.

2 injured in collision on McNutt Road in Sunland Park

SUNLAND PARK, NM – The Sunland Park Fire Department said it responded to a two-vehicle accident last Wednesday afternoon.

The fire department’s Facebook post at 2:06 p.m. said the wreck occurred in the 2000 block of McNutt Road. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Drivers were urged to be careful while driving on McNutt Road due to a significant increase in traffic near Calle Carrosel and Cristo Rey Road.
