Motorcycle crash closes part of Sandia Crest Rd near Sandia Park

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies were called to a motorcycle accident Sunday evening on Sandia Crest Road near southeast Sandia Park, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision was reported at mile marker 12, shortly before 7:03 p.m.

Officials did not share a possible cause of the crash, but both northbound and southbound lanes were blocked in the area.

Drivers were encouraged to find alternate routes.

At around 7:13 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened.


It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.
