Moped rider fatally collides with another vehicle near Parkway Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, a moped rider died in a two-vehicle collision near Parkway Park Monday evening

An adult woman was riding a moped at high speeds when she struck the front of a driver turning left onto Ladera Drive Northwest from Casa Verde Avenue Northwest.

The moped rider was thrown from the vehicle. First responders pronounced her dead at the scene. She was not wearing a helmet.

Investigators determined the other driver checked for traffic at the stop sign before turning onto Ladera Drive Northwest.

The incident is under investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Unit.

Collision near Quigley Park injures at least 1 person

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – At least one person was hurt in an accident near Quigley Park Saturday morning, according to APD Traffic.

Officials posted about the incident, which occurred at San Mateo Boulevard Northeast and Menaul Boulevard Northeast, on X around 11:59 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Auto accident disrupts traffic in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, a crash in northeast Albuquerque blocked traffic Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to Interstate 25 and Montgomery Boulevard Northeast around 3:32 p.m.

Officials have not provided more details.
