Man sues chief of police for car crash near Evans Addition

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KRQE, the man who was injured in a wreck caused by the APD chief near Central Ave SE & Alvarado Dr NE on Feb. 17, 2024, is suing the chief and the City of Albuquerque.

Chief Harold Medina claims he was fleeing from gunfire when he ran a red light and slammed into a gold 196 Ford Mustang driven by Todd Perchert.

Perchert was trapped in the car following the wreck. Rescue crews extricated Perchert from the vehicle and took him to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Medina did not turn on his body camera following the collision. This was against the department’s policies.

Wreck reported on I-25 in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, NM – A traffic accident was reported on I-25 near mile marker 75 on Wednesday, according to NMRoads.

The incident happened around 7:27 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.

Emergency crews respond to crash on NM 14 in Cedar Crest

CEDAR CREST, NM – According to NMRoads, first responders were called to the scene of an accident at NM 14 and Sandia Crest Rd on Wednesday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 11:40 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
