Man seriously injured in pedestrian collision in SE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Police were dispatched to a pedestrian collision in southeast Albuquerque on Friday night, according to KRQE.

The incident took place on Gibson Boulevard near Washington Street at about 9:45 p.m.  Police said a man was struck by a vehicle heading westbound on Gibson Boulevard.  He was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital.

The driver involved fled the scene of the crash but the vehicle was later located by police.   The accident remains under investigation.

Semi-truck crash, fire shuts down lane on Interstate 40

GALLUP, NM – Emergency crews were called to an accident along Interstate 40 in western New Mexico on Tuesday morning.

According to an advisory on NMRoads at about 11:00 a.m., a semi crash and fire occurred on I-40 westbound about seven miles west of Gallup. The westbound right lane was closed from mile marker 8, near the Port Entry Defiance/Manuelito interchange, to mile marker 9.

Drivers were urged to use caution, reduce speed, and obey all posted traffic signs.

Witnesses sought to fatal accident in Santa Fe County

SANTA FE, NM – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in their investigation into a fatal crash in Santa Fe County earlier this month.

A Facebook post from the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office states that deputies with the Traffic Homicide Investigation Division are seeking information from eyewitnesses in regards to the incident that occurred May 6 at approximately 1:20-1:30 p.m. on NM 502 near Pojoaque High School.

Anyone with information on the accident was asked to contact the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.
