Man seriously injured in accident involving electric scooter in Roswell

ROSWELL, NM – A man was rushed to the hospital after a crash involving an electric scooter in Roswell last week, the Roswell Daily Record reports.

The single-vehicle accident took place Oct. 30 at the corner of East Pine Lodge and North Main Street. Police said the scooter rider was heading west on Pine Lodge shortly before 6 p.m. when he lost control while trying to make a left turn onto Main Street. The driver, a 46-year-old man from Roswell, was ejected. He was taken to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in serious condition.

The Roswell Police and Fire Departments were called to the scene of the crash. The southbound lanes of Main Street were shut down while authorities conducted their investigation.

Crash snarls traffic along Interstate 40 west at Rio Grande Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A crash snarled traffic for drivers along a stretch of Interstate 40 in Albuquerque during Monday afternoon’s commute.

According to an advisory from NMRoads at 4:03 p.m., the accident happened on I-40 westbound at mile marker 157, in the area of Rio Grande Boulevard and 12th Street.

The left two lanes of the interstate were closed while the wreck was being removed. Drivers were advised to expect heavy delays through the area.

Lane, shoulder shut down on I-25 in San Antonio due to accident

SAN ANTONIO, NM – Emergency crews were dispatched to a crash affecting traffic in Socorro County on Tuesday morning, according to NMRoads.

The alert posted at 9:09 a.m. stated that the incident took place on Interstate 25 north at mile marker 231 in San Antonio.

The right lane and right shoulder of the interstate were closed during the accident response. Delays were reported near the scene and drivers were urged to use caution.
