Man pleads guilty to DUI crash in Santa Ana Pueblo

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KR9QE, a man pleaded guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury for a DUI crash that occurred in Santa Ana Pueblo on Dec. 1, 2021.

Lionel Medina, 29, was driving a Chevy Silverado while under the influence of alcohol when he collided with another vehicle.

The woman driving the other vehicle suffered fractures to her leg, foot, sternum, spine, and arm.

Medina is awaiting sentencing. He could get up to ten years in prison.

Alleged drunk driver slams into police vehicle near Huning Highlands

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A suspected impaired driver injured two people after he collided with a police vehicle on I-25 near Lead Ave on Saturday, according to KOAT.

Nathaniel Lucero hit a Police Service Aide vehicle around 9:30 p.m. The collision caused the police service aide vehicle to hit another police service aide vehicle.

Rescue crews transported Lucero and the two police service aides to an area hospital.

Authorities charged Lucero with DWI and causing great bodily harm by vehicle.

Wreck reported on NM 9 near Antelope

ANTELOPE, NM – According to NMRoads, a wreck was reported on NM 9 EB 12 miles east of Antelope on Tuesday.

The incident happened around 10:41 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
