Man dies following motorcycle collision at Santa Fe intersection

SANTA FE, NM – A motorcyclist has died of injuries suffered in a collision in Santa Fe earlier this month.

According to a post from the Santa Fe Police Department, the victim of the Dec. 12 incident was 24-year-old Damian Andres Vasquez of Santa Fe.

Investigators said Vasquez was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle at the intersection of St. Francis Drive and Cerrillos Road shortly before 9:30 p.m. His family said he passed away five days later.

The Santa Fe Police Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.

Crash slows traffic on I-40 east at Louisiana Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Drivers were alerted to an accident slowing down traffic on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque during Tuesday evening’s commute.

According to a notification on NMRoads at 5:46 p.m., the wreck happened on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 163 in the area of Louisiana Boulevard.

The two right lanes of the interstate were shut down while the crash was being removed from the roadway. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays through the area.

Lanes closed in section of NW Albuquerque due to accident

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Traffic was blocked in a section of northwest Albuquerque late Tuesday night due to a crash.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert regarding the incident shortly before 11 p.m. Deputies were called to the scene in the area of Paradise Boulevard NW and Unser Boulevard NW. The northbound and southbound lanes were closed and motorists were urged to use caution in the area.

All lanes were reopened by about 2 a.m.
