
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A man died Monday afternoon following a motorcycle accident near a northeast Albuquerque intersection, reports KOB4.
The fatal crash happened at the corner of Mountain Road and San Mateo Boulevard, just north of Lomas Boulevard Northeast, in the Fair Heights area. Albuquerque Police were called to the scene at about 1:40 p.m.
While details remain limited, an early investigation indicates the man was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he lost control, leading to a crash.
Responding officers arrived to find the rider had ejected from the bike. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported, and no other vehicles appear to have been involved.
An investigation was underway.
