Man dead in crash involving motorcycle in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A man died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision in northeast Albuquerque last week, according to KOAT.

Police and first responders were called to the area of Wyoming Boulevard and Copper Avenue on Nov. 21 at about 2:15 p.m. A motorcycle and a vehicle collided at that location, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The Albuquerque Police Department’s fatal crash unit initiated an investigation into the incident.

Semi-truck accident snarls traffic along Interstate 40

GALLUP, NM – Emergency crews were dispatched to a truck crash along Interstate 40 in McKinley County on Tuesday morning.

According to a road closure alert from the McKinley County Sheriff’s Office at 11:45 a.m., a semi-truck accident occurred on I-40 eastbound near the 41.5 mile marker. A portion of the interstate was closed for about two hours while crews worked to clean up debris from the wreck.

Traffic backups were reported to be stretching back to the 39 mile marker. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.

Crash prompts road closures near Las Cruces railroad tracks

LAS CRUCES, NM – A crash caused road closures in the southern part of Las Cruces on Wednesday afternoon, according to KVIA.

The incident happened near railroad tracks, where Las Cruces police officers responded to the scene shortly after 2:45 p.m..

The accident shut down a portion of Main Street between Boutz Road and Valley Drive. No further details were immediately released.
