Man charged in head-on crash on New Mexico 371 that left couple dead

FARMINGTON, NM – A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a crash last year in Farmington that left two people dead, according to the Tri-City Record.

21-year-old Rolandrick Randall of Fruitland is charged with two counts of third-degree felony homicide by vehicle for the July 29, 2025 wreck on New Mexico Highway 371.

New Mexico State Police said Randall was driving a Hyundai Sonata to work shortly before 4 p.m. when he drove into incoming traffic at a high rate of speed. His car collided head-on with a Ford 400. A newly married couple in the Ford died at the scene, 23-year-old Serene Dildanges Mikel and 23-year-old Casey Daniel, both from Federal Way, Washington. The two were en route from Washington to Texas when the accident occurred.

According to an affidavit, a judge signed a search warrant for a blood draw from Randall after a glass pipe fell out of his pocket that police said was used to smoke marijuana. He was hospitalized for his injuries at San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Rollover accident shuts down lanes on Interstate 25

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert late Tuesday night following an accident on Interstate 25 in Albuquerque.

In the advisory issued at 10:40 p.m., the BCSO said all lanes of southbound on I-25 were shut down at Broadway Boulevard due to the incident. It was reported that multiple patients were receiving care, but no details were released on their condition.

Drivers were advised to expect delays in the area. All lanes were reopened after about two and a half hours.

I-25 north closed in Santa Fe County for crash investigation

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM – Drivers were alerted to an accident affecting traffic in Santa Fe County during Friday morning’s commute.

According to a Facebook post from the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office at 6:06 a.m., Interstate 25 northbound was closed at the 271 exit (La Cienega) due to a crash investigation.

Traffic was being diverted onto the frontage road. The sheriff’s office advised motorists to allow for extra time to get to their destinations.
