Man arrested after stolen vehicle crash in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A man was taken into custody after crashing a stolen vehicle in northeast Albuquerque late Saturday night.

according to KRQE, the incident occurred shortly before midnight at the intersection of Constitution Avenue and Morris Street.

Police say a van was crossing the intersection near Ralph Avenue when it was hit by the stolen vehicle.

The suspect, 19-year-old Elijah Madole, attempted to flee officers on foot, but was eventually caught. He is currently facing charges of receiving a stolen car, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident.

It is unclear if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the collision.
