Logan school bus collides with pickup truck on eastbound U.S. 54

LOGAN, NM – A Logan Municipal Schools bus was involved in a collision on eastbound U.S. 54 last week, the Eastern New Mexico News reported.

The accident occurred April 13 near mile marker 320 south of Logan. New Mexico State Police said the bus and a pickup truck crashed just after 7 a.m.

The pickup truck driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. No injuries were reported for the bus driver or the six children on board.

The crash is under investigation by NMSP.

Interstate 40 reduced to one lane at Carnuel due to crash

CARNUEL, NM – A crash was impacting traffic along Interstate 40 in Bernalillo County on Saturday afternoon.

According to an alert from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at 5:15 p.m., the wreck caused eastbound I-40 to be reduced to one lane at mile marker 170 at Carnuel.

No major injuries were reported from the incident.

Rollover accident shuts down New Mexico 4 in both directions

LOS ALAMOS, NM – Police and rescue units at the scene of a rollover accident in Los Alamos on Friday, according to the Los Alamos Reporter.

Police said the incident caused the closure of New Mexico 4 in both directions at mile marker 49.

It was reported that the Los Alamos Fire Department was using the jaws of life to remove a driver involved. No details were immediately released regarding injuries.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
