Injuries reported in collision on North Union Avenue in Roswell

ROSWELL, NM – Roswell police and firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

According to a post from the Roswell Police Department, two or more vehicles were involved in the wreck that happened on North Union Avenue at West Fifth Street at 10:50 a.m. Minor injuries were reported.

Southbound traffic on Union Avenue was temporarily being diverted at Riverside Drive. Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane near the accident scene.

Pedestrian hospitalized following accident in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – A pedestrian was injured in a collision in South Valley on Wednesday night, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office reported.

In an alert posted on X at 9:21 p.m., the BCSO said its deputies were at the scene of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at Coors Boulevard SW and Arenal Road SW. The pedestrian was transported to UNMH with undisclosed injuries.

All westbound lanes of Arenal Road were closed in the area during the accident response.

Police respond to fatal accident near Los Lunas

LOS LUNAS, NM – Police in Los Lunas issued a traffic advisory on Thursday evening after responding to a fatal crash.

The notification at 7:53 p.m. stated that Interstate 25 northbound would be shut down at the 195 in Belen and the 203 in Los Lunas due to the accident that occurred at the 206-mile marker in Isleta.

Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays through the area. No details were immediately released on who had been killed, or the circumstances that led to the wreck.
