Injuries reported after wreck off I-40 near Altura Addition

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police responded to an injury crash late last Friday, September 22, in northeast Albuquerque’s Altura Addition area, according to APD Traffic.

The accident happened on the northbound side of Carlisle Boulevard Northeast at Interstate 40. It was first reported by the BCSO at 10:04 p.m.

The department has not disclosed the circumstances of the wreck, but at least one person suffered unspecified injuries.

All northbound lanes of Carlisle Boulevard were blocked at the interstate during the emergency response and initial investigation.


It remains unclear how many vehicles were involved and whether anyone is expected to be charged.
