ALBUQUERQUE, NM — An injury crash Wednesday morning shut down an Interstate 40 entrance ramp near northeast Albuquerque, reports APD Traffic.
Albuquerque Police responded to the scene on the I-40 westbound onramp from Carlisle Boulevard Northeast, in the Netherwood Park neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 5:23 a.m.
Authorities have not shared details on the circumstances behind the wreck, but shortly after 5:30 a.m., all westbound lanes and the I-40 entrance ramp from San Mateo Boulevard were also closed.

Westbound commuters were forced to divert off the interstate at the Carlisle Boulevard exit and re-enter through the entrance ramp.

As of this writing, the APD has not confirmed the number of people injured or the severity of their condition.
