SOCORRO, NM – According to KOAT, a hit-and-run driver fatally collided with a pedestrian on I-25 near mile marker 161 on Friday.
A driver rolled over to avoid hitting a deer that had crossed the interstate around 5:30 p.m.
Adriana Jurado was clearing the scene when the driver of a white sedan hit her in the northbound lanes.
Rescue crews pronounced Jurado dead at the scene.
Authorities do not know the sedan’s make or model. The crash damaged the sedan’s front end on the driver’s side.
The New Mexico State Police is investigating the incident.
Wreck reported on I-40 near Grants
GRANTS, NM – A crash was reported on I-40 WB near mile marker 79 on Monday, according to NMRoads.
The incident happened around 8:07 a.m.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
Driver collides with gas line on Foothill Dr SW
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to BCSO, a driver hit a gas line at 1934 Foothill Dr SW on Saturday.
The driver struck the gas line around 11:52 p.m.
Emergency crews closed Foothill DR SW between Arenal and Telesfor to secure the scene.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.
Deputies are on the scene of a vehicle vs. gas line on Foothill Dr SW (in the area of 1934 Foothill). The entire road is shut down between Arenal and Telesfor due to gas leaking on site. Deputies are securing the scene, and everyone is asked to avoid the area. pic.twitter.com/OokXSRt8Gn
