Hit-and-run driver fatally collides with woman near Academy Acres North

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a woman near Pan American NE and Harper Dr NE on June 16.

The driver of a two-door car hit Jeneva Salazar around 4 a.m.

Salazar died in the crash.

Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Unit is investigating the collision.

Man dies after his car collided with train on NM 555 in Raton

RATON, NM – A man died after an Amtrak train collided with his vehicle on NM 555 on Monday, according to KOAT.

The train hit the vehicle around 11 a.m.

Rescue crews found a man conscious and breathing. They transported him to an area hospital, where he died.

Nobody on the train was hurt in the collision.

The train was delayed for 5 hours as repairs were made to it.

Officials have not released the victim’s name.

The Colfax County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Auto accident disrupts traffic near Gun Club Acres

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to BCSO, a wreck blocked traffic at Gun Club Rd SW and Coors Blvd SW on Tuesday.

First responders were called to the scene around 7:24 a.m.

Officials have not released additional details.
