Hit-and-run driver fatally collides with motorcyclist near Quigley Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, one person died after a hit-and-run driver hit a motorcycle near Menaul Boulevard Northeast and San Pedro Drive Northeast on Monday.

The driver of a black pickup truck was heading east on Menaul Boulevard when they tried to merge into a lane occupied by a black motorcyclist and their passenger. The truck struck the motorcycle and ran over the two people in the vehicle.

First responders transported the motorcyclist and their passenger to an area hospital, where the passenger died.

The Fatal Crash Unit of the Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Motorcyclist critically injured following crash near Sandia Vista Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A motorcyclist was critically injured in a wreck on westbound Interstate 40 between Juan Tabo Boulevard Northeast and Eubank Boulevard Northeast on Tuesday, according to ABQ Raw.

The motorcyclist wrecked around 6:20 p.m.

First responders amputated an extremity and transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital in critical condition.

The New Mexico State Police is investigating the incident.

Police respond to wreck near Atrisco Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to APD Traffic, officers responded to a crash near Central Avenue and 47th Street Southwest on Tuesday.

Officials posted about the incident on X around 6:39 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
