Hit-and-run driver fatally collides with elderly woman in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – According to KOB, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed an elderly woman near 2nd St SW and Prosperity Ave SE on May 22.

The driver of a 2016-21 Chevrolet Malibu hit the woman before heading south on 2nd St SW around 11:20 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the victim to an area hospital, where she died.

Authorities urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them. They think the Malibu may have damage to the front fender on the passenger side.

Crash disrupts traffic on I-10 near Deming

DEMING, NM – A wreck blocked traffic on I-10 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 70, according to NMRoads.

First responders were called to the scene at 7:02 a.m.

Officials have not provided more details.

Wreck near Bellehaven injures at least 1 person

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – At least one person was hurt in a crash on Moon St NE between Crestwood Ave NE and Aspen Ave NE on Wednesday, according to APD Traffic.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 5:57 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
