Hit-and-run driver collides with pedestrian in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, NM – According to KRQE, a hit-and-run driver struck a pedestrian near NM 528 and Leon Grande Ave on Sunday night.

The driver hit the victim around 8 p.m. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to an area hospital in critical condition.

Authorities urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.

Former Los Alamos National Laboratory director dies in 2-vehicle crash in Los Alamos

LOS ALAMOS, NM – The former director of Los Alamos National Laboratory, Charles McMillan, 69, died following a two-vehicle collision at NM 502 and Camino Entranda on Friday, according to KRQE.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. Paramedics treated three people for injuries. They transported McMillan and a 22-year-old woman to an area hospital, where McMillan died.

The Los Alamos Police Department is investigating the incident.

At least 1 dead following fatal crash on Central Ave NW in Bernalillo County

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM – According to BCSO, at least one person is dead following a wreck on Central Ave NW near Atrisco Vista Blvd on Friday.

The incident was reported to authorities around 10:04 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
