Hit-and-run crash involving motorcycle shuts down lanes on I-40

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Authorities said a collision snarled traffic along Interstate 40 east in Albuquerque last week.

According to a KOAT report, New Mexico State Police said the incident on Friday afternoon was a hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The three furthest-right lanes of I-40 and the right shoulder were closed at Carlisle Boulevard near mile marker 161 while the scene was being cleared and investigated. Traffic delays were reported in the area.

Pedestrian hospitalized after collision at Second Street and Hacienda Road

NORTH VALLEY, NM – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital Monday afternoon following a collision in the North Valley, authorities said.

According to a post on X from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at 2:05 p.m., a vehicle vs pedestrian crash occurred at Second Street NW and Hacienda Road NW.

All lanes of Second Street were closed in the area for the investigation. The pedestrian was transported to UNMH and was later reported to be okay.

Crews respond to crash on Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A crash slowed down traffic along a portion of Interstate 40 on Wednesday morning.

An advisory on NMRoads issued at 11:46 a.m. stated that the incident occurred at mile marker 127, 22 miles west of Albuquerque.

Motorists were advised to expect minor delays, drive with caution, watch for slow moving traffic, and emergency personnel and vehicles that were responding to the wreck.
