Gallup police seek public’s help in finding witness to fatal crash

GALLUP, NM – Police in Gallup said they are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who may have witnessed an alleged vehicular homicide.

According to the police department’s Facebook post, the fatal crash occurred Feb. 3 at Miyamura Overpass on Interstate 40.

The police department’s Criminal Investigations Division learned that 30-year-old Shawnessy Martinez possibly witnessed the incident.

Police are looking for Martinez, and asked that anyone who may know where to find him call the Gallup Police Department or Metro Dispatch. Tips can also be given to McKinley County Crime Stoppers.

Crash reduces traffic to one lane on New Mexico 9

HACHITA, NM – The New Mexico Department of Transportation alerted motorists to a crash affecting traffic in a portion of Grant County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a notification on NMRoads at 3:17 p.m., the incident was a CMV rollover that occurred on New Mexico 9 west of Hachita.

New Mexico 9 was reduced to one lane from mile marker 36 to mile marker 37 near Well Road while emergency crews worked the scene.

BCSO responds to accident scene in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM -Traffic was impacted in a section of northeast Albuquerque on Tuesday night due to an accident

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office posted an alert over the incident shortly before 10 p.m. Traffic was reduced to one lane on northbound Edith Boulevard NE at Comanche Road Ne.

There were no reported injuries.
