Fatal pedestrian crash shuts down Interstate 40 in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A portion of Interstate 40 in Albuquerque was closed Tuesday morning to a fatal pedestrian accident, according to a KOB report.

The collision occurred in the area of I-40 westbound and Eubank Boulevard at about 6:30 a.m. The individual who was struck was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Westbound lanes of I-40 were shut down at Juan Tabo Boulevard while New Mexico State Police were conducting their investigation.

Lane closure on U.S. 491 north of Twin Lakes due to accident

TWIN LAKES, NM – Emergency crews responded to a crash on U.S. 491 in McKinley County on Tuesday morning.

An alert posted on NMRoads at 5:41 a.m stated that the accident closed the northbound right lane of the highway at mile marker 16, three miles north of Twin Lakes.

Motorists were advised to drive with caution, reduce speed, and obey all posted traffic signs in the area.

BCSO responds to crash on Arenal Road in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – Drivers were advised of a crash impacting traffic in the South Valley on Tuesday night.

According to a traffic advisory issued by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office shortly after 7:30 p.m., westbound Arenal Road SW was shut down at Atrisco Drive SW as a result of the incident.

There were no reported injuries. All lanes were reported to have reopened a short time later.
