DOÑA ANA COUNTY, NM — Part of eastbound Interstate 10 from Anthony into Texas was closed Thursday morning following a collision, according to NM Roads.
The crash was reported on the eastbound lanes of I-10 at mile marker 164, just north of the New Mexico-Texas state line. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index shortly after 9:20 a.m.
While officials have not disclosed the cause of the accident, a stretch of the eastbound interstate was closed into Texas. Motorists were instructed to slow down and approach the area with extra caution as crews worked to clear the roadway. Delays were anticipated.
As of 12:22 p.m., about three hours later, no updates on conditions at the scene have been released.
It remains unclear whether anyone was seriously injured.
