DWI suspect arrested after crash on NM-502 near NW Santa Fe

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — A 27-year-old White Rock resident was arrested for suspected DWI early last week following a single-vehicle wreck northwest of Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

While the preliminary crash report does not indicate an exact date, the incident occurred sometime between Monday, November 20, 2023, and Wednesday, November 22, 2023, on New Mexico State Road at mile marker 7.

Responding deputies said Adam Medina displayed signs of impairment after crashing his vehicle into a guardrail and disabling it.

Medina, who admitted to consuming an alcoholic beverage, was taken into custody after refusing to consent to chemical testing. He was booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center without further incident.
