SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — A 32-year-old man was arrested for suspected impairment Saturday after a reported crash on New Mexico State Road 14 in southwest Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene on a stretch of the highway at the intersection with Fire Place.
The sheriff’s office has not specified the events leading up to the wreck, but not long after deputies located the male driver at a nearby Allsup’s convenience store, they noted signs of impairment.
The suspect, who provided breath samples of .36 and .36, was taken into custody and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. He was identified as Zachary Mouchette, a resident of Rio Rancho.
No major injuries were reported in the incident.
The SFCSO continues to investigate the case, in which Mouchette faces a charge of “Aggravating Driving While Intoxicated.”
