SANTA FE, NM — A 70-year-old woman was taken into custody Thursday after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash in northwest Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

A SFCSO’s deputy was dispatched to the scene on Las Campanas Drive, near The Club at Las Campanas country club.

Authorities learned that the suspect, identified as Lori Begley, had driven away from the area after crashing her vehicle but was later located by security. The deputy said she exhibited signs of impairment at the scene, including “an odor of an intoxicating liquor.”

Begley was arrested and subsequently booked into Santa Fe County Jail.

No major injuries were reported and no other vehicles appear to have been involved.
