According to a witness, the man was behind the wheel of a white Ford F-15 when he abruptly accelerated at a high rate of speed. Moments later, the F-150 ran a red light and plowed into a garage, and then a wall separating a nearby residence.

The witness noted that the driver, who is diabetic, may have been undergoing a medical emergency at the time of the wreck.
