ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, a driver struck and injured an Albuquerque firefighter near I-25 and Comanche Rd NE on Oct. 27.

Crews with Albuquerque Fire Rescue were responding to a wreck when Rebecca Mechlor, 24, hit a firefighter as she was exiting off I-25 near Comanche Rd NE.

First responders transported the firefighter to an area hospital.

Authorities arrested Mechlor for great bodily harm with a vehicle while driving under the influence, careless driving, and having open alcohol containers in her car.

Driver collides with pedestrian in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – A driver hit a pedestrian near Raymac Rd SW and Coors Blvd SW on Wednesday, according to BCSO.

The driver struck the victim around 6:17 p.m.

First responders transported the victim to an area hospital. They were conscious and breathing when they were taken.

Deputies are on scene of a vehicle vs pedestrian crash at Raymac and Coors. All southbound lanes of Coors are closed in the area for the investigation. The pedestrian was last reported conscious and breathing and immediately transported to the hospital. pic.twitter.com/bLNYB56lsT

Auto accident blocks traffic in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to NMRoads, a crash disrupted traffic at I-25 and Comanche Rd NE on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 11:59 a.m.

Officials have not released more details.
