Driver of stolen vehicle collides with APD vehicle in east Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, the driver of a stolen vehicle hit an APD vehicle at Wyoming Boulevard and Copper Avenue Northeast Wednesday night.

Andrew Sandoval was driving the stolen vehicle when he slammed into the side of the police vehicle. At the time of the crash, the sergeant driving the police vehicle was heading toward the last known location of the stolen vehicle.

First responders transported the sergeant to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials say Sandoval was on probation when he stole the car.

The Albuquerque Police Department is seeking a warrant to search the stolen vehicle. Depending on what is found in the vehicle, Sandoval may be tried federally.

1 person hurt following crash in northwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person was hurt in a wreck that occurred at Unser Boulevard Northwest and Paradise Boulevard Northwest on Wednesday, according to KOAT.

First responders transported one person to an area hospital in critical condition.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Auto accident disrupts traffic on New Mexico 185 near Radium Springs

RADIUM SPRINGS, NM – A crash blocked traffic on New Mexico 185 near mile marker 19 on Thursday, according to NMRoads.

Emergency crews responded to the incident around 9:28 a.m.

Officials have not provided more details.
