Driver fatally collides with man in southwest Santa Fe

SANTA FE, NM – According to KOAT, a driver struck and killed a man at I-25 NB  and NM 599 on Thursday.

Dispatchers received calls about a man walking on I-25 around 11 p.m. A driver hit that man.

First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Crews shut down the area to process the scene. It was reopened around 6:15 a.m.

Driver slams into structure in Gallup

GALLUP, NM – A driver was hurt after they crashed into a structure on Thursday, according to KOAT.

Crews arrived at the scene to find the vehicle at a verticle angle. Firefighters disconnected utilities to the structure to reduce the risk of a fire. They then tunneled through the building to get to the vehicle’s occupant.

A single firefighter climbed into the vehicle and began to render aid to the driver. Other crews worked to extricate the occupant.

Firefighters had the man extricated from the vehicle within 45 minutes. They transported them to an area hospital.

Nobody else was hurt in the incident.

It is unclear which building was involved in the wreck.

Wreck reported on US 60 near Cannon Air Force Base

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, NM – According to NMRoads, a crash was reported on US 60 EB near mile marker 384 on Friday.

The incident occurred around 9:07 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
