Driver dies after water truck flips in Edgewood crash

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — One person died late Monday morning after a two-vehicle wreck that caused a water truck to overturn in Edgewood, reports KOAT.

The Edgewood Police Department did not specify where the accident occurred, but it was reported shortly before 11:00 a.m.

A preliminary investigation shows an SUV struck a Freightliner water truck, causing the truck to roll onto its roof.

The driver of the truck died from their injuries at the scene, confirmed officials.

No other details have been released at this time, and no pending charges have been reported. An investigation by the EPD and the New Mexico State Police remains underway.
