
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A man died last Saturday morning after a single-vehicle accident on Montaño Road in northeast Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal wreck took place at the intersection with Rio Grande Boulevard. BCSO deputies responded to the scene shortly before 5:43 a.m.
Officials have not disclosed the cause of the crash, but a male driver crashed his vehicle into a wall and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A section of Montaño Road at the intersection was blocked in both directions during the emergency response and initial investigation.
