Deputies arrest man for deadly wreck near Alamedan Valley

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, deputies arrested a man for a fatal wreck near Paseo Del Norte and 2nd St NW  on Tuesday.

Miguel Chavez was allegedly speeding when he crashed into Ernesto Arreola. Arreola died in the collision.

Chavez told authorities he smoked marijuana and fell asleep behind the wheel. Deputies discovered open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.

Deputies charged Chavez with vehicular homicide, DWI, and driving with a revoked license. Chave has a pedning DWI charge in Valencia County.

Wreck reported on I-25 near Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, NM – A crash was reported on I-25 NM 152 on Thursday, according to NMRoads.

The incident happened around 10:52 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.

Emergency crews respond to crash in Bernalillo County

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM – According to BCSO, first responders were called to the scene of an accident at NM 217 and Juan Tomas Rd on Wednesday.

Dispatchers received calls regarding the incident around 7:51 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
