BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning after colliding with a vehicle while riding a bike near South Valley, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred on the northbound lanes of Isleta Boulevard Southwest (Arenal Road Southwest) at Goff Boulevard Southwest. It was first reported by the BCSO at 7:27 a.m.
Little information has been released, but authorities confirmed the rider was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
A section of northbound Isleta Boulevard at the intersection was shut down during the emergency response. Motorists were instructed to avoid the scene and find alternate routes.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not reported any pending charges. No identifying details regarding the cyclist or the driver have been shared.
