ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A woman was found deceased in her home after being hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle early Saturday in north Albuquerque, reports KOB4.
Albuquerque Police said the crash occurred near 12th Street Northwest and Los Arboles Avenue Northwest, in the city’s Near North Valley area.
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains in progress, but preliminary details indicate Rosanna Breuninger was riding her bike home when she was struck by a car. She was then transported in a white or silver sedan back to her apartment, where she would be found deceased later the same day.
Authorities said the victim had sustained a road rash, and her helmet was found broken nearby. They also noted many personal items, including her vintage white and red Trek bike, were missing.
An investigation and search for the hit-and-run suspect(s) remains underway. Anyone who may have information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (505) 843-STOP (7867) or via p3tips.com/531.
