The accident happened at mile marker 6, near Caballero Road. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 11:43 a.m.
Officials have not shared the circumstances behind the event, but a section of NM-209 (Prince Street) was closed in all directions. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
Those passing by the scene were instructed to slow down and use extra caution as emergency personnel tended to the scene.
