LUNA COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews were called to a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 10 near downtown Deming, reports the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the eastbound interstate at milepost 82, west of North Gold Avenue. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 10:37 a.m.
No information on the circumstances behind the event has been released, but all eastbound lanes in the area were blocked in the aftermath.
Traffic was forced to re-route through Exit 81 to Pine Street.
Drivers were urged to heed all posted signs and proceed with extra caution around the site.
