SOCORRO COUNTY, NM — A commercial motor vehicle wreck was reported Friday afternoon on Interstate 25 near San Antonio, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes at milepost 139, near the interchange to U.S. Highway 380. It was first reported by NMDOT at 12:26 p.m.
Officials have not released information regarding the cause of the wreck, but a photo taken at the scene suggests a box truck veered off the roadway and down an embankment.
At the time of the initial report, emergency crews were responding to the scene. Motorists were urged to take extra caution and reduce speed in the area.
