GRANT COUNTY, NM — Crews were called to a commercial motor vehicle crash Monday morning on New Mexico State Road 15 near Silver City, reports the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Officials did not say exactly where the wreck occurred, but a span of NM-15 between mileposts 6 and 25 was shut down shortly before 10:45 a.m.
The circumstances behind the accident and the number of vehicles involved remain unclear at this time.
Drivers were warned of delays impacting the area and urged to proceed with caution as crews worked to clear the scene.
As of this writing, officials have not announced a clearance time.
