SANDOVAL COUNTY, NM — Commuters were warned of delays Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 550 near the village of Cuba following a crash, according to NM Roads.
The accident occurred on the southbound lanes at mile marker 70, in an area about six miles northwest of the village. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 7:53 a.m.
Officials have not said what led up to the wreck, but all southbound motorists were forced to detour from the scene as emergency crews responded.
As of 1:15 p.m., more than five hours later, no updates on the scene conditions have been released.
It remains unclear whether anyone was seriously injured or had to be transported to a hospital.
