Crash shuts down I-40 offramp at Atrisco Vista Blvd in west Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to a collision late Friday afternoon on an Interstate 40 exit ramp in west Albuquerque, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck occurred on the ramp from I-40 westbound to Atrisco Vista Boulevard, shortly before 4:12 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash or how many vehicles were involved, but officials had the ramp blocked for more than 45 minutes.

At about 6:00 p.m., more than 45 minutes later, all lanes were reopened.


As of this writing, the sheriff’s office has not disclosed any details indicating possible injuries.
