Crash shuts down I-25 NB near Albuquerque International Sunport

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were dispatched to a collision late Thursday morning that closed part of northbound Interstate 25 in south Albuquerque, according to NM Roads.

The accident impacted the northbound side of I-25 at Exit 220 to Rio Bravo Boulevard, in an area southwest of Albuquerque International Sunport. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 11:09 a.m.

No information regarding the circumstances of the event or the involved parties has been provided, but all northbound lanes of I-25 were closed in the immediate aftermath.

The area was impacted by delays as all northbound traffic was forced to get by through the right shoulder. Motorists were advised to slow down and approach the scene with caution, but alternate routes were recommended.

As of this writing, local agencies have not indicated any serious injuries in connection to the crash.
