ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were called to a collision late Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 40 in east Albuquerque, reports NM Roads.
The accident impacted the westbound interstate at Wyoming Boulevard Northeast (mile marker 164), in the city’s Mesa Village neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 4:00 p.m.
It was unclear what caused the wreck, but the left lane was closed as a result. As of 6:00 p.m., two hours later, no updates on the scene have been released.
Drivers were urged to reduce speed and exercise caution as they approach the area. Alternate routes were advised.
At this time, authorities have not indicated any injuries.
