Crash reported at 2nd St and Rio Bravo Blvd near south Albuquerque

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to an accident Saturday evening on 2nd Avenue Southwest in South Valley, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened at Rio Bravo Boulevard, south of the Bernalillo County NMRX Station, at around 4:57 p.m.

Officials did not release information regarding the circumstances behind the event, but the intersection was shut down in all directions.

Motorists were urged to avoid the scene and detour around the area.

Over an hour later, both roads were reopened to normal traffic.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was seriously injured.
